Thanet's CCTV scheme results in 400 arrests in 2013

Thanet council's CCTV team contributed to more than 400 arrests in 2013.

 

The council employs six operators who work in shifts to ensure the control room is covered 24/7, 365 days a year.

Their system links up to local police and they pick up on approximately 11 incidents a day.
